What a great place this was! :) High speed reliable Wi-Fi, great cable, full hookups with 50 amp. Very large pull through sites with lots of beautiful trees. Friendly staff (thank you Marion!). It is a County park, but was like a State Park with facilities to spoil you in complete creature comfort. Large park, but with the trees all around, that you had the feeling of privacy. Convenient to the interstate but far enough away to not hear the noise. Very reasonable price at the flat 30 a night. Only thing I could find that I would have changed, would be to have hand soap at the sink, though the shower and restrooms were very clean and heated on a cold morning. Also would like to see gravel or shale on the pull through sites, as the dirt parking site made it tough to not keep tracking it in. We will most definitely stay here again, but more than just an overnight next time. Will bring my own hand soap to the bathroom, and will use our large mat to keep the dirt down. Situation solved.

I could not think of one negative thing about this KOA park, and thus had to give it a solid 10. Located a convenient half mile from the interstate, though buffered by thick trees as to not have the noise. Restrooms and showers were extremely clean, and heated (which was great on our cold morning). Nice thoughtful perks, like little cat treats for our girls with a cute note, complementary garbage bag for site pickup, quarters available for the clean laundry facilities that had inexpensive and efficient equipment. Very friendly and helpful staff. Shade trees, good water pressure and quality, great cable and Wi-Fi, long pull throughs, and convenient hookups. A real treat for an overnight stay. Only thing I found unpleasant was the wind had changed in the morning, and there must be a pig farm in the area...phewwy...but was not there the night we got there. Not the park's fault. Must be happy pigs, though...they were ripe.

It is a nice place for the Summer crowd. There is not much to do except a breezy cold walk on the beach in November. The hostess at check in was very friendly and helpful. We picked the Oceanside location, but will stay on the sound side the next time. The sound side has really nice view and access to the water, great sunsets, and much nicer facilities. The bathroom was modern, and heated on this side. On the Oceanside, the only restroom available was very dated. Though clean, it was more like a public beach restroom, and not heated which was missed due to mornings in the 40's. Laundry facilities were not easy to get to, as it was a long walk and no parking area to use for baskets that had to be dragged in, plus expensive at 1.75 a load including the dryers. Water quality was the worst. It is apparently hard water, and very salty. We had to go out to buy gallon jugs for coffee, drinking water, and would not even give that water to our 2 cats. We will return again, but will visit in September or early Spring instead, as the rates are very high during their crowded Summer season.

What a joy this place is! :) Not on our list for a destination, but a wonderful place to stop on our way to the outer banks. It is true it is on a busy highway, but the sites are off enough to muffle the sound enough to sleep. Large pull throughs with convenient hookups, and wide sites with plenty of room for slides. Bathrooms are immaculate, with conveniences like hooks and seats for "stuff", with even a cute little TV running to watch while you dry your hair. Staff at check in were top rate, and very friendly. This is one of the cleanest KOA's I have ever stayed at. Modern and updated. Great little pet area, with nice playground for those that would need that, though we don't have children or dogs. Our inside spoiled cats, however, loved to watch the multitude of squirrels from their perch on the couch.

Good place for the fisherman, and the price. Very popular boat launch area. Mosquitoes and gnats were very thick...bring spray. No sewer, but free convenient dump station. View was great from every site, as the park is directly on the inter-coastal waterway. No Wi-Fi, or cable, but did not expect so with this park being a national forest recreation area. Very long sites that are concrete and roads were paved. Would have liked to have seen concrete patio pads to match the parking spot, and the picnic tables are permanent concrete types that were rather far from the concrete parking pad. Makes it impossible to keep dirt and mud out of our motorhome, as it rained when we were there and it soggy up our outside mat. Strange to have paved roads and concrete parking pads, then just dirt for a patio area. The really bad thing was the restrooms. No hand soap at the sinks, and the shower was a single stall that had peeling paint and was not cleaned the whole 3 nights we were there that I could see. Old band aid on the shower floor was there when we arrived and still there when we left. Definitely a "fish camp" style. Very hard well water, but usable.

First the good things. It is convenient to an overnight off I95 and close to Savannah. The best sites are in the "fish camp" area, which are sites 1-50. Request a pull through with 50 amp service. The staff at check in are very nice and quick host to site. Now the bad things. We were put in site 67, which is right next to extremely busy highway 204, though I purposely picked this campground due to being over 2 miles from noisy I95. The site at this campground may has well been in the median on I95. Even worse, the construction going on across the street. Our hookup was the most inconvenient thing we have ever experienced. The sewer hook up was 30 feet from the electric and water, making us pull out (luckily we had one) an extra length of water hose. It was a strange site with cut off tree stumps we had to be careful to avoid. We will come back here again but will be sure to ask for a quiet site in the back near the pretty little creek. It is real Southern Georgia swamp style, with old oaks and the hanging Spanish moss. The sites back there are quiet and peaceful. Odd "bath houses" with unisex shower, toilet, and sinks. Individual units which is actually nice, but be sure to bring your own soap. Even the sinks have no soap.

I had called to make a reservation by phone, and was told "We will make room for you". He would not do a formal reservation, nor did the man I talked to want my name. Upon arrival, very rude women in the office were belligerent about "not having a reservation". Also made a point to let me know there was "no pool, no Wi-Fi, no cable, no fishing pond". This is a campground off the highway, and works well for an overnight. However, at 34.00 a night, was too expensive for what they had to offer. Laundry machines were limited and twice the price of other parks, then to top it off they charge for showers. We will not stay here again.

We had sewer hookup and full 50 amp service, so not sure what happened with previous poster's site hookups. We had very good Wi-Fi signal. The bathroom was clean, though there is only one each available as the others were locked the entire night and next morning: perhaps to save on cleaning them?? Definitely jack-brake noise on the hill, and more awakening was the train plus whistle that ran right behind the park: only a hundred feet from our site. Very limited overnight sites: as most of this park is a mobile home park. Good place to stay as an overnight, but not a destination by any means. Owner/manager was very friendly and welcoming, plus appears to work hard to keep the place up.

We stayed here to visit relatives, as it's the only rare place to camp in this area. A 90% seasonal campground: only those sites are really nice, large and shaded. The overnight section was just a big field with gravel/grass pull-through sites. I was disappointed with no Wi-Fi available or cable TV and digital signal for TV is non-exist. There is a good laundry facility, but showers and bathrooms were dated and more like state park issues. Almost everyone here has dogs that run free: mostly by the tent campers, which were many. We were chased around the park by a dog on our morning walk. Doggie doo-doos everywhere on the gravel roads that their owners did not pick up. Would like to not stay here again, but there are not many places in the area to stay, if we visit the relatives again: perhaps we will stay in their front yard next time.

Comfortable and nice new park with full amenities and large sites, convenient for our one night stopover off the highway. Wi-Fi signal was strong. Clean restrooms, though they were very small in a mobile type building. Perhaps the permanent style is coming later? Cute little fishing pond with lots of geese that my cats enjoyed watching from their perch on the front dash. Watch out for "goose poops" as they are everywhere. Sites are gravel with field type grass. Park would be perfect if they added landscaping, patios, and picnic tables, which might be in their future plans? Can see the interstate from the park as it is so open, but the noise was very limited.

This was the first park we stayed at after purchasing our brand new motorhome in April. What a joy this place is! A wonderful park experience to encourage us "newbies" to continue to explore other parks. We have just booked another week for October during their value season. The beach is only a mile away over a lovely bridge, and we had a site that looked over their little stream. Roads are paved, and sites are level with elegant pavers and landscaping. Laundry, restrooms, and entire park is spotless. The Wi-Fi is strong, and appreciated. The staff was welcoming, as was the host that ushered us to our delightful site. We are looking forward to our next visit.
